6 Facts BuzzFeed Will Not Care To Read About Me, But You Will

So, after much procrastination and deliberation—not forgetting countless encouragement from a few friends—I decided to set up a blog that doubles as a portfolio for all the works I have created and produced.

To kick off the conception of this site, lets begin with a few facts about myself.

I use ‘Traylblazr’ as a handle on most sites. If you scramble it around, you will get ‘Azryl Trabl’—ok maybe I did not nail it like how Tom Marvolo Riddle was able to anagram his name into ‘Lord Voldemort’ but at least I was close, right? Ok, maybe not. Moving on…

I was once a passionate musician. The instruments I played include: trumpet, euphonium, violin, viola and french horn (my favourite!). Yes, I am mostly good at blowing. I even aspired to possibly make music a career—but that fell flat simply because I am unable to sight-read well enough (I tried for a good SIX years) and also because I never thought it could generate enough money to pay my bills, unless of course you are some kind of musical prodigy.

Look at me blow away!

I am a pretty shy person. “Impossible! I always see you around with your friends!”. I said I was shy, not unfriendly. When you place me in a group with people I have never spoken to before, chances are I would be the last one to speak—or not at all. Partly because in a group setting, there are a lot more eyes and ears fixated on you. I do not like that simply because I end up being extremely careful of what I say, for fear of being judged.

However, if you put me in a more intimate setting with another individual, I will feel more at ease. It gives me the chance to be more detailed and pay attention to the conversation. Whereas in a group, the conversation will jump from one topic to another faster than The Flash. I guess privacy opens me up, like that. *cheeky grin

I am an INFP. That makes me an idealist, a deep communicator and a really passionate person. You probably might still not understand what I am talking about. Here is a little description by 16Personalities:

Being a part of the Diplomat (NF) personality group, INFPs are guided by their principles, rather than by logic (Analysts), excitement (Explorers), or practicality (Sentinels). When deciding how to move forward, they will look to honor, beauty, morality and virtue – INFPs are led by the purity of their intent, not rewards and punishments.

Very representative of an INFP; we chase butterflies all day, duh.

Go on, take the test and find out your personality. My personal opinion on its accuracy? They are really on point. Don’t go reading up my weaknesses and use it against me now—I know what you are thinking.

I want to relocate to another country. Not necessarily be a citizen there though—maybe work at one location for a few years and move on to another. I just want to experience the different cultures, environment and lifestyle that is out there. Singapore is getting slightly too rigid for me. Some places I have considered are: Australia, Switzerland and most recently the US. Particularly Phoenix, Arizona. Not going into details on that one. This links up to the last fact I shall write about myself…

I dream of working in BuzzFeed. I have always enjoyed watching the videos they make. I love reading their articles. They seem like they have a lot of fun for work and everyone seems to not mind the other. What I gathered after watching their videos is that, they are a really diverse workplace where everyone respects the other. They are probably the source of my motivation to set up this site—not to be their competitor but maybe, with a little bit of luck, I could get head-hunted by their team in New York and work with them.

Hire me, please?

Well, it is not a crime to dream. After all, someone reminded me that dreams DO come true, with accounts of his life—and he lives in Phoenix, Arizona.

Off to dream now!
